What is the Vow of Fist?
The Vow of Fist activates once you reach the DMG threshold. Upon dealing enough DMG in combat, you unlock the Inner Gates. As you continue fighting in battle, you activate more gates, and the more gates you activate, the more DMG you deal. However, the main downside of this is that your HP depletes the more gates you activate.
As long as your HP stat is high enough, or you have HP replenishing items, you should be fine. The DMG buff makes up for the HP depletion as a whole. When you have more than at least five gates, your DMG increases immensely, meaning you have a chance of defeating the enemy before they have a chance to knock your HP to 0.
How to Get the Vow of Fist
The main method of getting the Vow of Fist is by taking part in 1v1 Ranked matches. If you’re not used to the PvP side of Type Soul, I don’t recommend diving in headfirst into 1v1 matches, as they can be pretty tricky, especially if you’re pitted against a strong player with tons of experience. As usual, you have to win the 1v1 Ranked match to receive the best rewards, including the Vow of Fist.
However, if you don’t want to compete in 1v1 matches, you can head to Ring 3 in Hell. From here, go to the maze and look for the Bamboo Hat Man NPC. Speak with him to begin a battle, and if you win, you gain a random Vow. Unfortunately, this does mean that the Vow you get may not be the Vow of Fist. If this is the case, you need to repeat the battle yet again.
