Is the Type Soul Vow of Potential the worst Vow in the game? There are three other Vows in Type Soul, one of which is the Vow of Fist. However, we do have a full guide on how to get every single Vow!
Type Soul Vow of Potential
While it begins with a debuff, does it pay off?
What is the Vow of Potential?
If you are tagged as you begin combat, you start the battle with a 15 to 25% debuff to all of your stats. As you deal damage, receive damage, successfully dodge and parry oncoming attacks from the enemy, an aura appears around your avatar. This aura affects your stats, as they scale off of how powerful the aura is. Once the aura reaches the maximum, all of your stats are then buffed by 20%.
As this happens, you roll a random music theme to boost the battle vibes. The speed of the music scales off the power of the Vow. If the music is at its standard speed, then the aura is at max level, so keep an ear out for that. Slower-paced music means you still need to charge the aura. If you don’t have music turned on for Type Soul, there is still a sound that plays to let you know.
How to Get the Vow of Potential
So far, there is only one way of obtaining the Vow of Potential. Unlike the other Vows, the singular method is battling against the Bamboo Hat Min boss. To find him, you need to progress through Hell until you have access to Ring 3.
This NPC stands within the maze, which means you have to abide by the rules of the mechanics regarding the strange woman that appears on your screen. When she uncovers her eyes, do not move. Once she covers her eyes, you can explore freely.
