“Genuinely unnerving…” 🐕 IFC Films has debuted the first official trailer for one of this year’s major indie horror breakouts titled Good Boy, a horror film told from the perspective of the “good boy” family dog in the story. The dog IS the horror hero this time. The first feature from filmmaker Ben Leonberg, this initially premiered at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival earlier in the year. And it’s out in theaters starting in October this fall. A loyal dog named Indy moves to a rural home with his owner Todd, only to discover supernatural forces lurking in the shadows. As dark entities threaten his human companion, the brave pup must fight to protect the one he loves most. Good Boy features Indy the Dog as Indy the Dog, with Larry Fessenden, Arielle Friedman, Shane Jensen, Anya Krawcheck, & Stuart Rudin. This already has great reviews playing on the festival circuit and it’s likely going to be a big hit once it’s in theaters in a few months. “To say Indy’s debut stands out from the pack is an understatement—it’s paving the way for horror filmmakers to rethink the genre’s limitations.” I can’t wait to watch! One of the best dog movie concepts in a while. Enjoy. // Continue Reading ›
