The Doors Monument is one of the newest entities added in the Outdoors update. They seem like random decorative sculptures at first, until they start to chase you. Another new entity in Doors is the Groundskeeper, who’s actually a bit of an anti-hero.

How to Survive a Monument Encounter
The Monument is an entity that can quickly approach you and attack. But there’s a way to prevent this. As long as you or at least another player is looking at the Monument, it won’t attack you. As soon as someone looks away from it, its legs appear from beneath it, and it starts to walk towards you.
The longer nobody is looking at the Monument, the quicker its movement speed becomes. At least one person has to keep their eyes on the Monument entity at all times; otherwise, the Monument becomes angry and will not hesitate.
The Monument can stab you from afar, dealing 35 DMG, but if it reaches you, it drags you under and instantly defeats you. If you’re playing solo, you need to move through the room whilst staring at the entity. If you need to look away at any point to find an exit or item, make sure you do this quickly, so you can look at the Monument again.
Safe Versus Dangerous Monuments
Did you know that not all Monuments are entities? Some Monuments are simply decorations. To work out if it’s a real entity or not, you need to listen out for breathing or a heartbeat. Even the Groundkeeper entity can let you know when a Monument is nearby.
There’s no telling when a Monument will spawn, so keep a close eye out with every room you enter. However, when you reach the Mill, you will see a Monument that is being roasted on a campfire. As you can tell, this Monument isn’t dangerous, as it’s… well… cooking.
