It has been quite a few weeks of getting teased and receiving information about the upcoming free update of Disney Dreamlight Valley. Finally, the Devs have confirmed the new characters, the name of the update, and the release date in the recent post on X. The next Disney Dreamlight Valley update’s name is Emotional Rescue, and it releases on August 20 on all platforms.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Emotional Rescue Update Releases Next Week
We all know from the Content Roadmap 2025 of DDV that the next update will include the characters from the Inside Out franchise. A previous post from two weeks ago showed the shadow imagery of Joy and Sadness, confirming the two characters for the update. Now, it is certain that these characters will include the main questline for the Inside Out Realm in Dreamlight Castle. The official teaser of the Emotional Rescue update shows Joy and Sadness characters, a new Realm gate, new outfits, and a Bing Bong plushie in the background.
The update will drop after a week, and we will certainly get more information regarding the update soon. We will get to learn about Joy and Sadness’ story questline, new Star Path and its rewards, new items and cosmetics, and more.
