She wanted to tell this unique story and have THE amazing June Squibb star in it and be her chance to shine once again in a lead role (also following last year’s Thelma). And she definitely does shine – always the best. The film premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, and it should next play at all the fall festivals including Telluride & TIFF. Meet Eleanor! After the devastating loss of her best friend Bessie, the witty & proudly troublesome Eleanor Morgenstein, 94, tells a tale that takes on a dangerous life of its own. She moves to New York City to be with her family and gets caught up in a story she starts telling others. This stars June Squibb, Erin Kellyman, Jessica Hecht, and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
