“Ain’t no running from it, is there?” Shout Studios has revealed the first official trailer for an indie western thriller film titled Killing Faith, marking the feature directorial debut of filmmaker Ned Crowley. This one is actually getting a theatrical release in October, on account of the mainstream cast featuring some major names. I always wonder how they got them? In the lawless frontier of 1849, a deadly sickness spreads — and with it, rumors of a young girl who’s cursed by the devil. One man must choose whether to run, or stand and protect the innocent. A widowed doctor helps escort a freed slave and her daughter across the West to find a distant Faith Healer. The mother believes the girl is possessed. The doctor suspects she just has the disease they call “The Sickness”. But one fact remains – everything the child touches dies. Scary! The new western-thriller stars Guy Pearce, DeWanda Wise, Bill Pullman, Raoul Trujillo, Jamie Neumann, Jack Alcott, Joanna Cassidy, and Emily Ford.
