Doors Outdoors Entities

Which monsters will you find throughout the Outdoors? Here’s how to beat them!

Monument

Once you spot a Monument in a room, you must stare at it. If at least one player is looking at the entity, it won’t get angry. However, if every player isn’t looking at it, it crawls towards you with its creepy spider legs. Once the Monument approaches a player, it instantly kills them.

How to Beat the Monument

You or someone else in your party must continously look at the Monument. The longer you look away, the quicker it moves.

Bramble

The Bramble entity slowly walks around the maze. It has a light on the top of its head which turns on and off. The important thing to remember is that when the light is on, the entity is dangerous. If the light is off, you can roam safely. If the Bramble’s light is on and it notices you, thorns burst from the ground, dealing heavy amounts of DMG. If these thorns reach you, you are instantly defeated.

How to Beat Bramble

The best way to beat the Bramble entity is to stay out of its line of sight. If it spots you, you need to immediately move away and hide so it can’t find you. Make sure to avoid lampposts, as the Bramble can teleport to them.

Groundskeeper

The Groundskeeper can either deal 45 DMG to you with its scythe or it can stomp on you, which depletes your HP to 0. This entity usually spawns when there is a shed in a room; however, if you spot it, you can avoid it. It cleans the grass in the room, and while you can touch the grass, it’s not recommended to walk on and off it, or stare at the Groundskeeper for too long.

How to Beat the Groundskeeper

If you anger the entity, it starts to grunt and will eventually chase after you. It’s more or less a guaranteed defeat, as it can also drag you out of hiding spots once it starts to follow you. So, if you want to avoid the wrath of the Groundskeeper, try not to stand on the grass for too long and don’t stare at the entity.

Surge

When two lightning bolts appear, and the sky turns green, you can expect to see the Surge. The sky then flashes yellow, and an ear-piercing scream sounds. Once Surge appears, it follows you quickly, dealing 40 DMG per second.

How to Beat Surge

Once the two lightning bolts appear in the sky, you need to immediately find somewhere to hide. As long as you’re hiding before Surge spawns, it won’t spot you. Stay in your hiding spot until Surge despawns.

Eyestalk

The Eyestalk works similarly to the Seek entity, where it chases you through a variety of rooms. Once you spot birch trees that have eyes, the Eyestalk will spawn.

How to Beat Eyestalk

Like with Seek, the only way to beat the Eyestalk is to run as fast as you can and avoid any obstacles. Once the chase ends, the Groundskeeper kills it.

Mandrake

While you explore the Outdoors, you can see roots in the ground. But some of these roots are actually Mandrakes. They can jump out of the ground and start screaming, forcing your camera to focus on them. If you listen to it scream for long enough, your character is instantly defeated.

How to Beat Mandrakes

If a Mandrake starts screaming at you, try to pick it up and plant it back in the ground. Another option is to find the Groundskeeper entity, as you can hand over the Mandrake, which it kills with its scythe. You can attempt to outrun the Mandrake, but make sure to be quick. Once you move away from it, it can snap its vine so it can follow you.

World Lotus

The World Lotus is the main antagonist of the Outdoors level. Those vines that try to attack you? The World Lotus is responsible for them!

The Caws

While the Caws are not dangerous entities themselves, they do serve a purpose. If you see them, you can expect to see a real entity soon, so make sure to keep your wits about you.

Grampy

Like the Caws, the Grampy entity is not dangerous. He appears once you reach the Mill room! You need to provide 8 Pink Petals so that Grampy can give you a Lotus Flower, which is a revival item.

The Skull

Again, this entity does not pose any danger towards you. But it does follow you around passively when you enter cabins.
