“There are other people seeing these thing in their dreams night after night.” Uh oh. The Horror Section has revealed the official trailer for an indie found footage horror thriller from Canada titled Dream Eater, made by Blind Luck Pictures and a trio of filmmakers. In the film, a filmmaker documents her boyfriend’s violent parasomnia while staying at a remote cabin in the woods. “We were tired of waiting for permission to make our next film, so we put everything on the line and did it ourselves with the help of a small but mighty crew deep in the snowy Laurentian mountains… A nightmare realized – in the best possible way,” the filmmakers explain. For fans craving a return to the primal terror of found footage, Dream Eater is the nightmare you won’t soon forget. Already drawing comparisons to The Blair Witch Project and Paranormal Activity, Dream Eater is being hailed as “the first movie in years to scare the f&!king s#$t out of me.” Co-written & co-directed by Jay Drakulic, Mallory Drumm, & Alex Lee Williams, and starring Williams and Drumm, the film opens in theaters in October just before Halloween.
