“We’re dealing with some mighty devious folks over here.” “Then you need to fight for what’s ours.” Sure. Amazon MGM Studios has revealed the official trailer for Sarah’s Oil, a movie about a young millionaire from America’s history. It’s now set to open in theaters in November this fall. “What she discovers is about to change everything. Witness the powerful true story of Sarah Rector.” Alas the film has a major religious aspect, described as “more than a good story: it’s a family, a faith, a legacy.” It’s also produced by and stars Zachary Levi, unfortunately, whom no one seems to like much anymore. Sarah’s Oil tells the remarkable true story of 11-year-old Sarah Rector, an African American girl born in Oklahoma Indian Territory in the early 1900s, who believes there is oil beneath the barren land she’s allotted and whose faith is proven right. Sarah turns to her family, friends, and some Texas wildcatters to maintain control of her oil-rich land, eventually becoming one of the nation’s first female African American millionaires. This stars Naya Desir-Johnson (from A Thousand and One) as Sarah, with Levi, Sonequa Martin-Green, Garret Dillahunt, Mel Rodriguez, Kenric Green, Bridget Regan, Adyan Copes, & Selase Botchway. ⛽ Have a look. // Continue Reading ›
