“It’s wild. It’s unbridled.” Universal has debuted a new 3-minute featurette for Jon M. Chu’s Wicked: For Good, opening in theaters everywhere in November this fall. The much anticipated sequel to Wicked from last year, even more magical Part 2. This behind-the-scenes look complements the first trailer a few months back. For Good is the second chapter of this immersive, cultural celebration. “It’s really about them trying to get back together in some way, even if the fates don’t allow that.” As an angry mob rises up against the Wicked Witch, Glinda and Elphaba will need to come together one final time. With their strong friendship now the fulcrum of their futures, they will need to truly see each other, with honesty and empathy, if they are to change themselves, and all of Oz, for good. Cynthia Erivo stars as Elphaba Thropp, a young woman with green skin who becomes the Wicked Witch. Ariana Grande co-stars as Glinda, with Michelle Yeoh, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Marissa Bode, Bowen Yang, Bronwyn James, Keala Settle, plus Jeff Goldblum as the iconic Wizard of Oz. With Sharon D. Clarke as the voice of Elphaba’s childhood nanny, Dulcibear. This looks like a grand and thrilling conclusion to this story of these two friends, and Oz, and what’s going to happen when Dorothy shows up. Hope this lives up to the hype! So far looking fantastic. // Continue Reading ›
