How to Get All Tools in Tales of the Shire
There are four main tools in Tales of the Shire, including a Fishing Rod, a Watering Can, a Lantern, and a Shovel. Each tool has its own use and lets you progress in a certain activity club. Acquiring all of these tools will require players to follow the main Campaign Tale, complete the initial farming mission, and level up in a foraging club. Here is how you can get all the tools in Tales of the Shire.
Fishing Rod: Pursue the “Finding Your Feet” main mission until you meet Old Noakes. Ask Old Noakes about the Rule Book, and he will give you the Fishing Rod.
Watering Can: Pursue the “Finding Your Feet” main mission until you meet Farmer Cotton at the marketplace. Speak to him and he will give you the Watering Can and Brown Tater Seeds. It will also begin a gardening tutorial mission.
Shovel: Go to your home and plant the Brown Tater Seeds in the Garden Beds. Water the seeds and wait for the vegetables to grow. Harvest the vegetables and bring them to Farmer Cotton to complete the gardening tutorial mission. Upon completing the mission, he will reward you with a Shovel.
Lantern: Unlocking the Lantern will require you to reach Foraging Club Level 2. To do so, you will first have to unlock the Club System by reaching Act 2: Become A Village. To equip the tools in Tales of the Shire, open the Tool Menu and select the item you want to equip. Press the “T” button (PC) or Up on the D-Pad (Consoles) to open the Tool Menu. After that, select the tool from the menu you want to equip. If you already have a tool equipped, it will be swapped.
