“This world is quiet, and this soul is calm… And nobody dies on Beth’s farm.” How about an amuse-bouche before the next Yorgos Lanthimos meal later this year! Focus Features & the music label untitled (recs) have debuted a music video for a song from composer / musician Jerskin Fendrix. You’ll recognize his name, as Jerskin Fendrix was nominated for an Academy Award for his score for Lanthimos’ film Poor Things (he also scored Kinds of Kindness). Fendrix is also scoring Lanthimos next new film titled Bugonia, which also stars Emma Stone – it will premiere at the 2025 Venice Film Festival and open in theaters later this fall. The three of them also got together again to shoot this music video on a farm somewhere in England. Yorgos states: “It was lovely to team up again with Emma and a number of people that we have been working with for quite a while to contribute a bit of film narrative to what I think is a remarkable second personal album by our very important artistic collaborator and friend.” The video is out now & can be seen below.
