Luminum is required to unlock the new Volcano island, but it also sells for 2 million in-game coins!
How to Get Luminum
Luminum is a Legendary rarity Mineral, making it highly uncommon.
Luminum Locations
You can find the Luminum Mineral whilst exploring the Crystal Cavern River, Sunset Beach, and Azuralite Oasis. This means it’s part of all three journal pages for these locations and is a requirement if you want to complete them.
There are no specific spots in these three locations that lead you to finding Luminum. You can dig wherever you want within these locations in hopes that you randomly obtain Luminum. Luckily, for the ‘Restoring the Lighthouse‘ quest, you only need a singular piece of Luminum.
Just remember not to sell it before you hand it over to the Lightkeeper NPC. If you plan to go to the Merchant before speaking to them, right-click the Luminum in your inventory to add it to your ‘favourites’, which prevents it from being sold.
Why Do You Need Luminum?
Apart from it being a requirement to complete the journal pages for Sunset Beach, Azuralite Oasis, and Crystal Cavern River, you also need it for the ‘Restoring the Lighthouse’ quest. Once you pick up this quest from the Lightkeeper NPC, who stands at the top of the lighthouse at Sunset Beach, you must find Luminum!
After collecting one piece of Luminum, you can head back to the Lightkeeper NPC to hand it over, which then fixes the lighthouse. You can then visit Fortune River to teleport to the Volcano island (Caldera Island) by speaking with the Ferryman.
