How to Complete Nostalgia Country Challenge in Donkey Kong Bananza

Nostalgia Country is a challenge course in the Hilltop Layer in Donkey Kong Bananza. It is an optional Challenge Ruin that you can find while exploring the Hilltop Layer and collect more Banandium Chips and Gems to make Donkey Kong more powerful. Completing the challenge courses will help you get more Banandium Gems, which are essential to earning Skill Points. Nostalgia Country Challenge – Walkthrough

Location of “Nostalgia Country” Challenge

The location of the Nostalgia Country challenge course is near the entrance to the Undertone Canal, Hilltop Layer. While exploring the SL200 to reach the Undertone Canal area, go to the western edge to find the Void Seals. Clear the Void Seals to access the Nostalgia Country challenge course.

Solving the “Nostalgia Country” Challenge

The Nostalgia Country challenge course is an easter egg referencing the original Donkey Kong Country game. The whole challenge course is a side-scrolling level, requiring you to find all three Banandium Gems.

As the course starts, the first banana will be hidden above you in DK’s House. To reach DK’s House, you need to perform the Chunk Jump. Break the ground to get a chunk and then do a double jump upward to reach DK’s House. Alternatively, you can break the rock above the entrance to reveal a climbable surface. Jump to the climbable surface to reach DK’s house. Once inside, jump on the tire beneath the banana, and punch upward to collect the first Banandium Gem.

The rest of the two Banandium Gems are pretty straightforward to get. Continue along the level by going to the right side, and you will find the second banana in the middle of the course. From here, continue ahead along the path and use the barrels to cross the gaps. As you reach the end, you will face a Crockoid. Grab the bombs to hit the Crockoid to defeat it or use the Bananza Power to destroy it.

After defeating the Crockoid, continue ahead to find the final Banandium Gem, right before the exit of the course.
