How To Get Zen Eggs
There are two ways to get Zen Eggs (F2p-friendly) during the Zen Update. This includes:
Tanuki Merchant NPC
The Tanuki Merchant restocks hourly and has the chance to sell Zen Eggs for 30 Chi each.
Zen Tree
Offering Tranquil mutated crops to the Zen Channeller NPC will slowly but surely grow the Zen Tree. At each interval, the NPC will award you with event-themed prizes, including free Zen Eggs.
Grow a Garden Zen Pets
Shiba Inu
Hatch Chance: 40%Rarity: UncommonMan’s Best Tomodachi [Ability]: Every 60 seconds, this pet has a 15% chance to dig up a random seed.
Nihonzaru
Hatch Chance: 31%Rarity: RareBathe Time [Ability]: As long as the player has a Hot Spring in their garden, this pet will bathe in it and boost all other pets’ passive abilities.
Tanuki
Hatch Chance: 20.82%Rarity: LegendaryMischief [Ability]: Randomly performs one of the following mischievous abilities:
Gives itself EXP.Give a random fruit the Choc mutation.Give a random fruit the Moonlit mutation.Give a random fruit the Chilled mutation.Gives the player a random amount of Sheckles (around 1,000).Decreases a pet’s cooldown by 60 seconds.Duplicates a random fruit from another player and gives it to the owner.
Tanchozuru
Hatch Chance: 4.6%Rarity: LegendaryBalance and Harmony [Ability]: Channels harmony and sometimes mutates nearby crops to Tranquil.
Kappa
Hatch Chance: 3.5%Rarity: MythicalWater Spirit [Ability]: Occasionally sprays water on nearby crops, giving them the Wet Mutation. If plants are already carrying the Wet Mutation, they may develop into Bloodlit.
Kitsune
Hatch Chance: 0.08%Rarity: PrismaticNine-Tailed Myth [Ability]: Every 12 minutes, travels to another player’s garden, mutates their fruit with either Chakra or Firefox Chakra and then duplicates the plant and gifts it to its owner.
Special Pets – Non-Zen Eggs
An oddity pet of this update is the Koi Fish. Not only does this pet have no egg, it’s also the first pet in Grow a Garden to have variants, with nine unique patternings and colours.
Koi Fish
Obtainment: 45 Chi from the Tanuki Shop after reaching the fourth stage of the Zen Tree Growth.Rarity: MythicalFish of Fortune [Ability]: Grants a small chance to recover an egg when hatching. This fish also has different cosmetic appearances!
