Starting the quest
Starting the A Date with Destiny quest will require the player to reach Romance Level 2 with Tamala. Players must reach Friendship Level 3 or higher and gift a box of chocolate or a heartdrop lily to unlock the romance option with Tamala. Once done, level up the romance level to 2 to unlock the quest. After unlocking the quest, go to Tamala and speak with her.
Catch a Bat Ray
For the first task, Tamala wants you to catch a fresh Bat Ray fish. Players can find the Bat Ray fish inside the caves at any time of the day. Go to any pond inside the caves, whether in Kilima Valley or Bahari Bay, and cast the line into the water while equipping the Worm bait. Wait for the bobber to shake three times. As the bobber starts to move after the third shake, reel in the fish by holding the Left-Click Button and moving the mouse to keep the fish inside the brackets to catch the fish. After catching the Bat Ray fish, go back to Tamala and speak with her.
Catch a Leafstalker Mantis
The next task is to test your resourcefulness. Tamala will tell you to catch a Leafstalker Mantis. The Leafstalker Mantis is one of the rarest mantises in the game that spawns mostly around Sweet Leaves and Dari Cloves spice spawn locations. Both of these spice types are spawned in the northern areas of Bahari Bay, and there is a chance of finding a Leafstalker Mantis by foraging either one. After catching a Leafstalker Mantis, go back to Tamala and speak to her.
Find a Silverwing Egg
For the final task, Tamala will tell you to find and retrieve a Silverwing Egg. Open the map to see the highlighted area around the Proudhorn Pass. Go to the Proudhorn Pass and climb up the mountain. Make your way to the northeast side of the mountain, facing the Statue Garden, to find the Silverwing Nest. Interact with the nest to loot the Silverwing Egg.
After finding the Silverwing Egg, go back to Tamala and speak to her. As the conversation ends, the A Date With Destiny quest will conclude.
