How to Complete the Dreams and Dark Designs Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Starting the Quest
Dreams and Dark Designs is the final friendship quest for Aurora. Players can pursue this quest after completing the following quests.
Moreover, players must have unlocked Remy and progressed further with Hades and Maleficent. Once the quest is available, go and speak with Aurora to start the Dreams and Dark Designs quest.
Talk to the villagers about their sleeping problems
After starting the quest, you need to talk to Flynn and Merida to ask them about their sleeping problems. It looks like they are having nightmares when they sleep. Now, go and talk to Aurora.
Go to Hades’ House
Aurora advises you to craft a Dream Spinner, but before doing that, go to Hades’ House to see what the villains are up to. Enter Hades’ house to find both Hades and Maleficent. Speak with Hades to see if he knows anything about the sleeping sickness.
Gather the materials to craft a Dream Spinner
You need to gather the following materials to craft a Dream Spinner.
4x Star Sapphire: Mine the mining nodes in the Everafter biome.
10x Volcanic Rock: Dig the ground using the Shovel in the Everafter and Mythopia biomes.
20x Petrified Wood: Break the Petrified Wood Rocks and the mining nodes using the Pickaxe in the Bind and Everafter biomes.
Dream Threads: Interact with the sacred spring in the Elysian Fields area to get the Dream Threads.
After gathering all of the materials, go to any crafting station and craft a Dream Spinner. You can find its recipe under the “Functional Items” tab. Once done, bring the Dream Spinner to Aurora.
Talk to Remy and cook some Warm Spiced Milk
Open the map to find Remy, and then go and speak to him. He will tell you that some Warm Spiced Milk might help the villagers to fall asleep. He will give you a blend of spices to use in the recipe. Gather the following ingredients for the Warm Spiced Milk.
2x Milk: Purchase it from the Chez Remy restaurant.
2x Ambrosia: Purchase it from Goofy’s Stall in the Mythopia biome.
2x Nutmeg: Harvest from the Nutmeg trees in the Mythopia biome.
After gathering the rest of the ingredients, go to any Cooking Station and cook the Warm Spiced Milk. Select the “Quests” tab to find the recipe for the Warm Spiced Milk. Add all of the ingredients and cook it twice. Once done, go to Aurora’s House and give her the Warm Spiced Milk.
Interact with the Dream Spinner
After talking to Aurora, interact with the Dream Spinner in her house. It will drop a dream image to the floor. Pick up the dream image and examine it. Now, speak to Aurora about the dream image that the Dream Spinner captured.
Go to the top of Mount Olympus
Leave Aurora’s House and go to Mount Olympus, and head up to the door. After reaching the top, interact with the fast-travel point with Hades’ board beside it. Now, follow the path to reach the location you saw in the dream image. Once there, you will see a rift up ahead. Go and interact with the rift to get another image. Pick it up and examine the new image to see the other location of the dream.
Talk to the Lorekeeper and confront Hades and Maleficent
Now, leave the Mount Olympus area and go to the library to speak with the Lorekeeper. After that, go to the Everafter and make your way to Maleficent’s Castle. Enter the castle and confront Maleficent and Hades. After speaking to Hades and Maleficent, the quest will conclude.
