How To Age Pets Quickly in Grow a Garden

There are three main ways to age pets quickly, so let’s get right into it!

Keeping Active Pets Fed
An obvious one, but often overlooked. Pets will continue to age offline when fed, so feeding your animals before exiting the game for long periods is a great way to passively increase their age. I recommend feeding event plants, as these tend to give the most hunger, working great on even high-rarity pets and event exclusives.
Pet Skills
If you have the availability, I recommend enlisting a pet which has a skill focusing on generating more EXP for active pets. This includes the following:

Using Treats/Gears
Some Gears provide EXP enhancements, or take it a step further and level up your pet by 1, just like a Rare Candy!Medium Treat [Gear]: costs 4,000,000 to buy and applies a medium EXP boost lasting a day.Level Up Lollipop [Gear]: costs 10,000,000,000 to buy and increases a pet’s level by 1. (Only use on high-level pets which take longer to age)

Is age really that important?

Pet Mutations
At level 50+, you can submit a pet to gain a Pet Mutation. Each Mutation is unique and changes the attributes and cosmetics of your companions.
Free Pet Upgrades
Free Pet Upgrades allow you to exchange aged pets for garden benefits such as more egg capacity or more pet capacity. The upgrades don’t care for pet rarity, so I recommend ageing common pets.
Stronger Skills
As pets age, their skills refine, becoming more enhanced whilst simultaneously having lower cooldowns between uses. This, in turn, makes a player’s garden far more efficient.
