A Hero of Ink and Paper is a main story quest for the Storybook Vale expansion of Disney Dreamlight Valley. It is the second quest in a chain of four quests that allow players to unlock Aurora as a villager. How to Complete A Hero of Ink and Paper Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Starting the Quest
A Hero of Ink and Paper quest begins automatically by completing the Missing Princess quest. After investigating Aurora’s Pages from her Diary, it looks like the Lorekeeper knows where she went.
Talk to the Lorekeeper
As the quest begins, go to the Library in the Bind and speak with the Lorekeeper. Ask her about the last time she spoke with Aurora and go through the dialogues. Once done, interact with the Tapestry on the wall behind the Lorekeeper. Unfortunately, it will do nothing, so speak with the Lorekeeper again.
Find Aurora’s Notes in the secret chamber beneath the bridge
Leave the library and go underneath the bridge to find a small room. Pick up the sparkling note in the room.
Search the Vale for the pieces of the Fairy Tale Book
Now, you need to look for the pieces of the Fairy Tale Book at the following locations in the Vale.
Near the Fallen Fortress’s crumbling walls (Everafter). The digging spot will be right next to the ruins.
Near a windmill in Mythopia. Go to Mount Olympus and make your way towards the bridge. Look beneath the windmill on the right side to find the digging spot.
Use the Royal Shovel to dig for the pieces of the Fairy Tale Book. After finding both of the pieces, go back to the Lorekeeper.
Talk to the villagers
After bringing all the volumes of the Fairy Tale Book to the Lorekeeper, talk to the following villagers in the Vale.
Gather the materials to craft the “Hero of the Vale” Costume
After speaking with all the villagers, the quest will update, requiring you to gather the following materials.
4x Yellow Tale Cone Flower: Forage from the ground in the Bind biome.
4x Blue Tale Cone Flower: Forage from the ground in the Bind biome.
4x Olive Green Tale Cone Flower: Forage from the ground in the Bind biome.
4x Beige Tale Cone Flower: Forage from the ground in the Bind biome.
10x Posidonia: Gather it while fishing in the open water anywhere in the Mythopia biome.
4x Blue Bird Snippet: Spawn in the Bind biome. Use the Royal Net to catch it.
4x Red Demon Snippet: Spawn in the Statue’s Shadow area of the Mythopia biome. Use the Royal Net to catch it.
4x Green Frog Snippet: Spawn in the Wild Woods and Teapot Falls areas of the Everafter biome. Use the Royal Net to catch it.
After gathering all of the materials, go to any crafting station and craft the Hero of the Vale costume. You can find the recipe for the costume under the “Functional Items” tab.
Bring the Costume to the Lorekeeper
Now, go back to the Lorekeeper and speak to her. After speaking to the Lorekeeper, open the Wardrobe and equip the Hero of the Vale costume. Once done, interact with the tapestry on the wall behind the Lorekeeper. It will teleport you into the story, which will conclude the quest, and the Ink-Stained World quest will start.
