A Storm of Stories is the main story quest for the Storybook Vale expansion in Disney Dreamlight Valley. It is the first quest for the Unwritten Realms update of the expansion, allowing players to continue the main story. How to Complete A Storm of Stories Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Starting the Quest
A Storm of Stories quest starts automatically after completing the A Long-Awaited Invitation quest. Players will receive the letter in the mail, directing them to meet with the Lorekeeper. The Lorekeeper will reveal that a Story Sickness is afflicting the residents of the Vale. Players must investigate and uncover the source of the spreading.
Talk to Merida and follow her to the Mysterious Whirlwind
After speaking with the Lorekeeper, go to Merida and speak with her to learn more about the cause. Once done, follow her to a mysterious whirlwind in the Bind biome.
Catch the Shadowy Bird Snippets
As you arrive at the whirlwind, you will see some strange bird snippets around it. Equip the Royal Net tool and catch all 5 Shadowy Bird Snippets around the whirlwind. Upon catching the snippets, a Mysterious Story Page will appear. Pick up the mysterious story page and bring it to Merida.
Complete Winnie the Pooh Story in the Lorekeeper’s Pages (Optional)
Here, you will get an optional objective to complete the Winnie the Pooh story by going to the Lorekeeper. If you don’t want to do it, you can skip it and head to Flynn to continue the investigation. Interact with the Lorekeeper and open the pages to find the Winnie the Pooh story. It will require you to use the following snippets to begin the puzzle.
5x Shadowy Bird Snippets
10x Blue Bird Snippets
10x Red Bird Snippets
Solving Winnie the Pooh will unlock a new reward for you.
Continue the investigation around the Vale
Now, go to Flynn and speak to him about any strange happenings. After talking to him, follow him to another mysterious whirlwind, this time in Everafter.
Catch the Shadowy Frog Snippets
As you arrive at the whirlwind in Everafter, you will see some strange frog snippets. Equip the Royal Net tool and catch all 5 Shadowy Frog Snippets around the whirlwind. It is easier to catch the frog snippets by rotating the net horizontally. After catching the snippets, a page will appear. Pick up the page and bring it to Flynn.
After that, you will get another optional puzzle to complete at the Lorekeeper. It will be the story puzzle for Snow White. If you want to continue the investigation, then go and speak to Hades.
Talk to Hades and follow him to a Mysterious Whirlwind
Find Hades and speak to him about any strange happenings in the Vale. After that, follow him to a mysterious whirlwind in the Mythopia biome.
Catch the Shadowy Demon Snippets
As you arrive at the whirlwind, you will see some strange Demon snippets around it. Equip the Royal Net tool and catch all 5 Shadowy Demon Snippets around the whirlwind. Upon catching the snippets, a Mysterious Story Page will appear. Pick up the mysterious story page and bring it to Hades. After that, go back to the Lorekeeper and speak to him.
Complete the Maleficent’s Journey story
Starting the Maleficent’s Journey puzzle at the Lorekeeper’s Pages will require the following snippets.
5x Shadowy Bird Snippets
5x Shadowy Frog Snippets
5x Shadowy Demon Snippets
NOTE: If you don’t have the required snippets, you can find the Shadowy Snippets around the Vale. Go to different biomes to catch the respective Shadowy Snippets.
Now, complete the Maleficent’s Journey story puzzle by placing all the pieces together.
Figure out how to arrange the tiles on the floor
After solving Maleficent’s Journey puzzle, you have to solve another puzzle in the library. Go to the center of the library to see movable tiles. You need to use the three handles on the side to move the tiles and arrange them correctly. Start from the outermost circle and work your way to the inner circles to arrange the tiles easily.
Upon completing the puzzle, a giant book will appear. Interact with the book to enter the Unwritten Realms. Entering the Unwritten Realms will conclude the A Storm of Stories quest.
