Diablo IV Season 9 Hotfix Releases Today, Addressing the Horadric Phials Not Dropping Bug

Diablo IV Season 9 is currently live with a brand-new questline for players to follow and learn the Horadric Spellcraft system. The new season introduces fresh mechanics, new challenging dungeons, new class-specific Uniques, and more. Although the new season and its content look promising, there are always minor issues that are left behind at the launch. After the launch of Season 9, a lot of players reported the issue of Horadric Phials not dropping from the new Strongrooms and Astaroth (boss). Blizzard quickly released an announcement stating that the team has a fix. Diablo IV Season 9 hotfix releases today, July 2, 2025.

Blizzard Responds to the Known Issue of Horadric Phials Not Dropping

Here is a statement from Blizzard after the reports of Horadric Phials not dropping from Strongrooms and Astaroth.

“Hey everyone,

The Team is aware of Horadric Phials not currently dropping from Horadric Strongrooms and the Astaroth boss fight. We’ve got a fix on deck that we’re looking to release in a Hotfix tomorrow.

Thanks for all your reports.”

Missing Trophy and Cosmetics Issue in Season 9

In addition to the Horadric Phials bug, there are some more missing items in the new season. From the reports, the Mount Trophy is currently missing in the Season. Blizzard also stated that they are aware of this issue and the team is looking for a fix.

“Hey all, thanks for the report – team is aware the Mount Trophy is missing and we’re looking into a fix. Hang tight!”

Currently, it is unknown whether the Hotfix will contain the fix for the trophy or not, but it will for the Horadric Phials. As Horadric Phials are crucial for crafting the new Horadric Jewels, it makes more sense to let players craft the final piece of the Horadric Spell Power. After the fix, players should start getting the Horadric Phials both from the Horadric Strongrooms and the Astaroth boss fight.
