Progressing through the main story of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will take players to the Northwest Line in Australia. Players have to bring Special Alloys to the facility to make the delivery and start the mine. However, the game does not really fill you up on the information beforehand on how to turn on the mine. In this guide, we will tell you how to mine for minerals at the North Mine of F1 in Death Stranding 2.
How to Mine for Minerals at the North Mine of F1 in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach
The North Mine of F1 is the first mine that you will come across in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. As you are about to head to the mine, you will have to take Special Alloys and deliver them to the facility. Once you make the delivery, you have to start the mine to complete the main order. However, the “Mine” option at the Terminal might be dull if you don’t have the required materials. To turn on the mine for materials at the North Mine of F1, you must have 2,000 Chiral Crystals. If you hover over the mine on the map, it will show you the requirement to turn it on.
How to get the Chiral Crystals to Turn on the Mine in Death Stranding 2
Fortunately, requiring the Chiral Crystals is not as difficult as it sounds. There is a big spawn point of Chiral Crystals just outside the facility gate. Simply head out on foot or in your vehicle and start harvesting the gold crystals on the ground. Each harvest will give you plenty of crystals. Make sure to harvest as many as you can to collect 2,000 Chiral Crystals.

After gathering the 2,000 Chiral Crystals, head back into the facility and interact with the terminal. Now, the “Mine” option should be available. Select the Mine option and contribute the 2,000 Chiral Crystals. It will turn on the mine and start mining the minerals.
