“For the good of the theatre…” Buffalo 8 has revealed an official trailer for an indie dark comedy called Et Tu, a reference to the classic line “Et tu, Brute?” from Shakespeare’s play Julius Caesar. The film is the first feature film directed by Max Tzannes, and it premiered back in 2023 at the Heartland Film Festival. After making this, he went on to direct the meta bigfoot movie Found Footage: Patterson Project. Both films are just now releasing back-to-back this summer. A director is driven to madness during a regional production of Julius Caesar. Every night for the past three weeks Brent has had to watch an awful play; his awful play, along with a small audience of local patrons in an old theater you’ve never heard of. Fortunately for Brent, that old theater you’ve never heard of, employs a Janitor who’s been mopping the stage for a very long time; long enough to know a dark secret of the past that may help to rid Brent of his current troubles. Starring Lou Diamond Phillips, Malcolm McDowell, Antwone Barnes, Isabella Blake-Thomas, Rachel Alig, and Brennan Keel Cook. This looks clever and kooky and crazy! An indie discovery to watch out for. // Continue Reading ›
