Why are they doing this?” “Does there have to be a why…?” Lionsgate has revealed the full official trailer for the next sequel in the current The Strangers horror trilogy, all three of them directed by Finnish filmmaker Renny Harlin (who also dirceted A Nightmare on Elm Street 4, Die Hard 2, Cliffhanger, The Long Kiss Goodnight, Deep Blue Sea). The Strangers – Chapter 2 is “the chilling next chapter of The Strangers franchise” which began (as a complete restart) in the summer of 2024 earlier this year with The Strangers – Chapter 1 (trailer here). It’s not really a prequel or a sequel, it’s a re-imagining of this masked killers horror franchise. The Strangers are back – more brutal and relentless than ever. When they learn that one of their victims, Maya, is still alive, they return to finish what they’ve started. With nowhere to run and no one to trust, Maya must survive yet another horrific chapter of terror as the trio of The Strangers – driven by a senseless, unceasing purpose – pursue her, more than willing to kill anyone who stands in their way.
