“We only get one shot… We don’t have a lot of time.” MGM+ has revealed the first official trailer for a new streaming series called The Institute, ready for launch in July this summer. From the writer of “Justified” and “The Stand”, and a director on “Lost” and “The Sopranos”, comes a brand new series based on another Stephen King novel. After Luke’s parents are killed, he wakes up at “The Institute” in a room that looks just like his own, except there’s no window. Outside his door are other doors, behind which are other kids. who got there the same way Luke did. What is going on here? Starring newcomer Joe Freeman as Luke Ellis – he awakens at The Institute, a facility full of children who all got there the same way he did, and who are all possessed of unusual abilities. In a nearby town, haunted former police officer Tim has come looking to start a new life, but the peace & quiet won’t last, as his story and Luke’s are destined to collide. Also starring Mary-Louise Parker, Ben Barnes, Simone Miller, Fionn Laird, Hannah Galway, Robert Joy, Julian Richings, Martin Roach.
