Does Playtime Luck Work on Eggs in Grow a Garden?
In short, yes, Playtime Luck does work on eggs.
What this means is that you have a better chance of hatching rarer pets when Playtime Luck takes effect for you in a server. To maximise your chances, you should wait for a full 75 minutes in-game to stock up your luck by +300%.
When at 300%, you should then hatch your ready egg, and if fortune favours, you’ll receive something rarer!
Example:
Queen Bee hatch chance: 1%
+300% Playtime Luck hatch chance: 4%
What Is Playtime Luck?
Playtime Luck is limited to servers outside of America as a way for players who miss out on update drops due to time zones to benefit and catch up. The longer you are inside a server, the more playtime luck you accumulate.
When in a server, your luck timer is only applicable to yourself, so joining a server with another player who has maximised their luck won’t enhance your own, unfortunately. The full Playtime Luck reward list looks something like this:
0 Minutes in-game: +10% Luck5 Minutes in-game: +25% Luck10 Minutes in-game: +50% Luck25 Minutes in-game: +100% Luck45 Minutes in-game: +200% Luck75 Minutes in-game: +300% Luck
Note: leaving the game will reset your luck timer, so I recommend staying partially active so that you don’t get kicked for inactivity!
What Else Does Playtime Luck Apply To?
Alongside Eggs ready to hatch, Playtime Luck increases your fortune when opening seed packs, and plant size and mutation chance (for Gold and Rainbow) when newly growing in.
Playtime Luck does not impact anything that is global, such as seed stock, event stock, or weathering events.
