Disney Dreamlight Valley has finally unveiled its upcoming 2025 update, Mysteries of Skull Rock. It includes a new character, a new Star Path, quality of life improvements, new premium shop items, and more. The devs have recently released the Developer Update trailer on their socials, revealing all of what is coming with the Mysteries of Skull Rock Update. Disney Dreamlight Valley: Mysteries of Skull Rock Update Features
The upcoming free update of Disney Dreamlight Valley, Mysteries of Skull Rock, will allow players to uncover the secrets of the Skull Rock. It is one of the most intriguing structures in the Valley. Not only that, but players will get to unlock The Forgotten as a true villager. They will be able to hang out with him, and most importantly, continue his story to uncover who resides in the Skull Rock.
Moreover, a new Star Path will come with the Mysteries of Skull Rock, bringing tons of new cosmetics. Last but not least, there are various new quality-of-life improvements, which will make companionships more worthwhile.
Continue the Story with The Forgotten
Unlike the regular way to uncover the new areas or Realms, players will have to bring The Forgotten to the Valley. It will allow players to strengthen their friendship with The Forgotten, which will help them remember who resides in the Skull Rock. From there, players can begin the adventure of uncovering the secrets of the Skull Rock. Moreover, find the new character, Peter Pan, and bring him to the Valley. However, players must reassure Peter Pan that they are not opposing pirates.
Bringing Peter Pan to the Valley will unlock him as a villager. It will unlock Peter’s exclusive friendship questline for players to pursue and claim exclusive rewards. Moreover, players can help Peter start a new crew of Lost Boys in the Valley.
A New Star Path – Adventures in Never Land Star Path
The new Star Path in Disney Dreamlight Valley will be the Adventures in Never Land. It comes with the Mysteries of Skull Rock update and will last approximately 2 months. The Adventures in Never Land Star Path theme revolves around swashbuckling styles, pirate and magical mermaid cosmetics, and unique décor. You can earn these rewards and have a perfect tea party with the villagers.
NOTE: All the items from the Adventures in Never Land Star Path have yet to be shown.
New Quality of Life Improvements
The Mysteries of Skull Rock update brings an improvement by introducing Friendship Levels for your Companions. Players will be able to level up their friendship with the companions and earn rewards on each level up. Not only that, but the companions will be able to help you with various tasks like harvesting, digging, etc. Last but not least, you can give a custom name to all of your companions. This improvement certainly makes the companion more worthwhile to be around.
In addition to these features, there will be a brand-new companion bundle in the store when the update comes out. The bundle will include Max as a companion along with its exclusive décor items. Furthermore, the devs also shared the insights on the final chapter of the Storybook Vale expansion. The final chapter of the expansion will be released shortly after the update on July 9, 2025.
