It Takes Two is 65% off on the PS Store
Developed by Hazelight Studios and published by Electronic Arts, It Takes Two is currently 65% off on the PS Store. This brings its price down to $13.99 from its typical $39.99 price tag. Players may want to act fast as this deal is available for a limited time. Specifically, the offer ends on June 12 at 2:59 a.m. ET.
“Embark on the craziest journey of your life in It Takes Two, a genre-bending platform adventure created purely for co-op,” says the game’s description. “Invite a friend to join for free with Friend’s Pass and work together across a huge variety of gleefully disruptive gameplay challenges.”
When It Takes Two launched back in 2021, it was met with favorable reception. According to the review aggregate site Metacritic, it received an average score of 88 across 50 critic reviews. In our review, we gave the game a 9 out of 10.
“It Takes Two is endlessly creative,” reads our review. “Gameplay speaks to narrative, while narrative informs gameplay, and the entire experience just feels incredibly polished and detailed.”
In the year of its release, It Takes Two took home several awards. Besides the aforementioned Game of the Year award at The Game Awards, it also won Best Multiplayer Game at the Golden Joystick Awards, Best Design at the Game Developers Choice Awards, and Game of the Year at the D.I.C.E. Awards.
It should be noted that It Takes Two is exclusively a cooperative experience. It must be played with two players. However, thanks to the Friend’s Pass, as long as one person owns the game, they can invite anyone they want at no additional cost.
