While Sony has been quiet about its summer plans, Geoff Keighley has not. The Summer Game Fest is upon us, and the event just announced its first round of partners. One of which is PlayStation, confirming Sony’s gaming division will be at the event in some capacity.
PlayStation will be part of Summer Game Fest
As announced by the official Summer Game Fest X (formerly Twitter) account, the summer event will feature tons of game companies and console makers, like 2K Games, Amazon Games, Nintendo, Xbox, Neowiz, and many more. As these appear in alphabetical order, PlayStation is seen near the bottom of its announcement graphic, right in the center. Check out the post below:
It is not known how involved PlayStation will be in the Summer Game Fest festivities. Since the summer event typically claims any showcases under its wing, this could be a tease for the rumored State of Play. It could also just mean Sony will have some games to show on the event’s showfloor. It could also mean a PlayStation announcement can be made during Summer Game Fest’s showcase on Friday, June 6. Of course, this is all speculation, and we will know once the event begins next month.
The X post states that Summer Game Fest will have over 60 partners. Here is the full first wave that was revealed today:
