So, what are you looking for when it comes to the ‘Grow a Garden Prickly Fruit‘ that everyone keeps talking about? Read on to find out which crops fall under this category and how to get them in Grow a Garden! Luckily, none of them are super rare seeds.
Grow a Garden Prickly Fruits
You know when there’s a piece of fruit, and it’s covered in spikes? That’s a prickly fruit! It’s essentially something you wouldn’t really want to pick up with your bare hands.
All Prickly Fruits
So, with that logic, let’s see which fruits are prickly in Grow a Garden.
DragonfruitCactusPineappleDurian
Whilst these are the only fruits that fall under the ‘prickly’ category as of right now, I’m sure more will be added to the game in future updates. The more the merrier!
How to Get the Prickly Fruits
Here’s how to get all of the fruits listed above!
Dragonfruit
The Dragonfruit is a Mythical crop with a 2% spawn chance, that you can purchase from the Seed Shop with 50K Sheckles. However, it is also obtainable via the Normal Seed Pack!
As this is a purchasable seed, the Red Fox, Golden Lab, and Dog have a chance of obtaining one for you.
Cactus
You can purchase a Cactus seed from the Seed Shop with 15K Sheckles, but it has a low spawn chance of 3.33% due to it being a Mythical rarity crop. It also has a chance to appear when opening a Normal Seed Pack.
Like the Dragonfruit, the Golden Lab, Red Fox, and Dog may obtain a Cactus seed for you at some point.
Pineapple
The Pineapple is only available when opening a Normal Seed Pack. It is of the Mythical rarity, so it has a very low chance of appearing!
Durian
To obtain a Durian seed, you must open a Basic Seed Pack in the hopes that it drops! It is of Legendary rarity, so it’s a little more common than the Pineapple seed.
Why Do You Need Prickly Fruits?
The short answer is, you don’t! That is, unless you want to use the Hedgehog or Blood Hedgehog pets. The standard Hedgehog boosts the size of prickly fruit by 1.50x.
Whereas, the Blood Hedgehog increases the size of prickly fruit by 2x, as well as increasing the chances of a mutated prickly fruit by 1.17x.
