Like A Shiprunt is the sixth main quest of the Elderwood expansion in Palia. It is the main story quest for Subira that triggers automatically after Tamala locks you in the Beast’s Lair. Tamala will not let you simply leave the mysterious cave, so you have to find another way. This guide will walk you through the Like A Shiprunt quest in Palia.
How to Complete the Like A Shiprunt Quest in Palia
Starting the Quest
Like A Shiprunt quest begins automatically after completing the One Step Behind quest. At the end of the One Step Behind quest, Tamala refuses to let players leave the cave, which triggers the Like A Shiprunt quest. Players will have to find another way out of the cave and return to Subira.
Find another way out of the Beast’s Lair
The only path out of the Beast’s Lair is through the door up on the thread ladder. However, before you go inside, make sure to fill up your watering can. There is a water puddle on the left side of the room. Fill up the watering can and head up the ladder. Go through the door and you will see the vines.
Find a way to break the vines
You cannot cut down the vines without filling the cauldron nearby. Equip the Watering Can and fill up the cauldron with water. It will give you a temporary buff to cut through the vines. Break the vines and continue ahead. As you reach the end, you will see a trap door. However, the trap door will be locked.
To find the key for the trap door, you need to search the potholes in the area. Equip the Hoe and dig through the potholes to find the key. We found the key in one of the starting potholes near the vines. After finding the key, go back to the trap door to open it.
Find a way to the trapped boy
As you go through the trap door, you will see a trapped boy. You need to find a way to the trapped boy and free him. There will be several paths, but only one of them will lead you to the boy. Follow the following path to reach the trapped boy.
Fill up the cauldron with water and break the vines on the left side.
Go down the path and take a right.
Climb up the ledge on the left side before the dead end.
Continue ahead and fill up the cauldron.
Break the vines on the left side and go ahead along the path.
Upon reaching the cauldron, fill it up, and then break the vines on the right side.
Continue along the path until you reach the next cauldron.
Fill up the cauldron and break the vines.
Here, you will find yourself in a little maze pattern.
Simply, fill up the cauldron and break the vines to continue ahead.
Upon getting out of the maze, break the vines around the boy to free him.
Check in with the boy
After rescuing the boy, speak with him to learn that he is Ulfe, the lost boy that Nai’o was worried about. As you go through the conversation, Subira will find you. Now, speak with Subira and fill her in on the information. Go through the dialogues, and the Like A Shiprunt quest will conclude.
