REDMAGIC Go 3-in-1 Power Bank Review

Boasting a sleek design, the REDMAGIC Go 3-in-1 Power Bank is stylish, portable, and looks expertly futuristic. The clean silver shade, with the cylindrical battery-like structure, and the LED display make this little product a great addition to any tech fan’s collection. But, does it meet expectations when it comes to power?

Using the REDMAGIC Go 3-in-1 Power Bank to Charge My Devices

With a 5000mAh battery, I found that this power bank couldn’t charge my iPhone 16 to its full capacity. Within an hour, the battery of the 3-in-1 Power Bank had depleted entirely, and my phone had been charged to around 56%. This makes this piece of tech great for fast boosts of charge for when you’re needing to top up the battery of your device, if you’re in a rush. But for fully fledged charging? Not so much.

I even attempted to charge my Samsung laptop using the REDMAGIC Go 3-in-1 Power Bank, but it didn’t fare well. Now, this may be my laptop’s fault, as I was still actively using it, but considering one of the selling points for this product is that it can charge two devices at once, I don’t quite think it could manage this feat with my own.

The AC Plug

To no fault of REDMAGIC, this was more of a 2-in-1 power bank for me, as the foldable AC Plug cannot be used in the UK. This meant, to recharge the gadget, I had to utilise the USB-C port, which is fine, of course. I will say, the Neocharger 4.0 wall plug does provide 65w of power, which I’m sure I would have appreciated if I could have used it. Without the AC plug, the USB-C port offers 20w of power when charging.

One of the main features of the power bank is the ability to quickly charge your devices by plugging it into the wall (or an extension lead) with the AC plug. I do believe I would have found charging my devices, especially my laptop, a lot more effective if I could have utilised this part of the gadget.
