Palia’s first expansion, Elderwood, is here, and it marks the continuation of the main story, as well as offers a ton of new content for players to uncover. Explore the lush green forest with tall trees and venture into numerous areas within the Elderwood. Moreover, players will see various familiar faces in Elderwood and meet a new villager from the Umbraa, a subrace of Majiri. However, it is crucial to learn what Elderwood is and, most of all, how to get to it. In this guide, we will tell you how to get to the Elderwood region in Palia.
What is Elderwood in Palia
The Elderwood is the new region that all players can access at any point in the game. It has a Darker Tone than the other two regions in Palia. The main reason for the Darker Tone is due to its magical appearance and nature. The entrance to the Elderwood is located in Northern Bahari. As players enter the Elderwood, they will immediately feel that it is unique than the other regions. The Devs have designed the Elderwood a bit differently as well. There is a lush green forest with giant trees. The giant trees offer the Vertical Exploration mechanics, allowing players to use flowers and jumping mushrooms to reach higher ground.
Moreover, similar to the other regions, the Elderwood has various sections within it. Each section is unique, offering a new environment, items, materials, animals, critters, and fish. As players explore the Elderwood, they will come to find mysterious essence throughout. Players will have to collect the essence and use it to solve the mystery by progressing in the main story.
How to Get to the Elderwood Region in Palia
Upon updating the Palia client to the latest version, all players will be able to access the Elderwood region. The main gate to the Elderwood region is located in the Northern Bahari, between Tamala’s house and the Housing Plot gate.
There are no specific requirements for players to accomplish prior to entering the Elderwood. However, the developers have suggested that all players should complete all temple quests, prologue conclusion quests, and craft Fine Tools before heading into the Elderwood. Acquiring Fine Tools will help players gather the new Ancient Wood from the Ancient Trees. Completing all main quests will let players immediately start with the new story quests. Here are all the main story quests that players shall complete to start immediately with the new content in Elderwood.
Vault of the Waves
Vault of the Flames
Vault of the Gales
Vault of the Roots
Troubled Waters
Into the Fire
Up in the Air
Rooted In Place
NOTE: If you haven’t completed the main story quests, you can still visit Elderwood and explore it. However, the new main story quests will not trigger until you complete the previous ones.
After entering Elderwood, you will find the Central Stables, one of the main areas/locations within Elderwood. Finding the Central Stables will allow you to travel directly to Central Stables from any Stable sign in Kilima Valley and Bahari Bay. Not only that, there are several stable signs throughout the Elderwood. If you find all Elderwood Stables, Nai’o will give you a recipe to craft your very own Stable Sign that you can place at the Housing Plot. It will allow you to travel back and forth to Elderwood and your Housing Plot.
