Originally established as a Socialist political movement in 1911, International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global occasion dedicated to championing women’s rights and recognising the cultural, social, and economic achievements of women across the world. Marked every year on 8th March, the theme for International Women’s Day 2025 is ‘Accelerate Action’ towards gender equality.
