Monster Hunter Wilds Monster List: How Many Monsters Are There at Launch?

Fans are hoping that Monster Hunter Wilds will contain a comparable amount of monsters at launch as World and Rise did. Given its shorter story, Wilds needs a decent roster of beasts to hunt to give it some longevity. Fortunately, there’s enough here that longtime fans shouldn’t be disappointed.

How many monsters are in Monster Hunter Wilds at launch?

There are 29 large monsters in Monster Hunter Wilds at launch. Of these, 20 are new, and 9 are returning monsters (or variations thereof).

So far, only one upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds has been revealed. Capcom stated that Miztsune will be coming in the free Spring title update. Another monster will be coming in the Summer title update, but we’ll have to wait to find out which one.
