Players can find the Gold Doppelganger Badge for free in a nest northwest of Troskowitz town. It is the same location where players can find their first early bow in the game. You can come along the nest location while making your way to Tachov town. As you follow the main road along Tachov, you will reach a fork with one road leading to Tachov and the other to Trosky Castle.
You need to stop a bit before the fork and you will notice a small path on the west side. Look to the opposite of it, towards the east side and you will see a hidden passageway among the bushes. Follow it and you will find a small camp with a target sign on a tree. While standing in front of the tree, look up to see the nest on the tree. Now, there are two ways you can knock down the nest from the tree.
Throw a rock at the nest.
Shoot it with an arrow, but slowly.
Out of these two methods, throwing rocks is a much better option. Because there is no limit to throwing rocks. Simply press the G (PC) or R1/RB (console) to throw the rock while looking at the nest. Once the nest falls down, interact with it to loot the Gold Doppelganger Badge.
What is the Use of Gold Doppelganger Badge in KCD2
As the name suggests, the Gold Dppelganger Badge is a badge of a Gold rarity, which is the highest quality. Players can use this badge in a Badge match for Gold quality at a Dice game. This badge doubles the score of last thrown dice rolls and players can use it three times during the match. For instance, if players roll a 1+1+1 combination for 1,000 points, they can use it to double the points for 2,000.
