Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 offers a variety of weapons ranging from short-range to long-range. Finding a good weapon in the early game can be difficult, but there are some early-game quests that can help you get a few of them. One of the early game weapons is an Adorned Axe, a one-handed heavy weapon. Players will initially get the chance to get it during “The Axe from the Lake” side quest. However, as the game will not help you entirely, it can leave you confused. In this guide, we will tell you how to find the Axe from the Story in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
How to Find the Axe from the Story in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Finding the axe from the Story is the main objective of “The Axe from the Lake” side quest. Upon initiating the quest from speaking with the storyteller in the Tavern at Tachov, the quest marker will update and highlight a big area on the map. Now, before you head to the marked area on the map, you need to get a Spade first. You can purchase the spade from the traders and even find it in the towns. Once you have the spade, go to the pier in the highlighted location on the map.
After reaching the pier, follow the steps below to find the axe.
Follow the path from the pier towards north until you see an Oak Tree.
After Henry reacts to the Oak Tree, continue on the path until you see a rock on the left side.
Henry will react to the rock as well. Continue ahead and as you reach the turn where you can see the river, turn left.
You will see a grave on the left side.
Go over the grave and dig it using the spade.
NOTE: Without the Spade, you cannot dig the grave.
After digging the grave, interact with the sack in the grave to get the Broken Axe. Now, the first step is done and you have to forge the axe using the piece you have just found.
Craft the Adorned Axe – KCD2
Now, go back to Tachov and interact with the blacksmithing station. Navigate to the Axes tab and select the Adorned Axe recipe.
NOTE: Make sure that you have pursued the Blacksmith’s Quest for the Wedding Crashers quest. It will teach you the basics of forging weapons.
To forge the Adorned Axe, you need 1x Broken Axe and 1x Fastening Material. You can purchase the Fastening Material from the Blacksmith. Once you have all the materials, start forging the Adorned Axe.
After that, you can return to the Storyteller and tell him that you have the Axe. Go through the dialogues and he will let you keep the axe. The Adorned Axe is one of the best axe weapons in the game for the early game. So, if you are someone who loves using Heavy Weapons, then this weapon will help you greatly in combat.
