How to Get the Dig It Colossal Worm – Dune Reference!

The Dig It Colossal Worm is clearly a reference to the sandworm from Dune – and I love Dune.

Dig It Colossal Worm

The Colossal Worm is part of a server event! It’s an obtainable ‘item’, but it only spawns once the event is active. Like the other events in Dig It, the Colossal Worm event has a random chance to spawn. To be more specific, the chance of the event occurring is around 16.67%.

Colossal Worm Location

The event takes place at The Badlands, the only place where you can collect the Colossal Worm item. When traversing The Badlands, you can see an otherwise empty pit in the middle, aptly named The Badlands Hole.

It’s easy to spot, as it’s a massive hole sinking into darkness, surrounded by rocks. When the Colossal Worm event is active, a yellow circle appears around this pit, to signal where you can dig. This happens without the need for the Treasure Scanner, though you should still purchase it for other collectables.

How to Get the Colossal Worm

Now that you know where to get the Colossal Worm, it’s time to cover how to get one for yourself. Firstly, you need to be at The Badlands hole when the Colossal Worm event is active. The game lets you know what the current server event is in the corner of the screen!

Despite its obtainment method, the Colossal Worm isn’t a ‘secret’ rarity item. Instead, it’s of the Mythical rarity. Aside from Secret items, Mythicals are the rarest in the game. You need a strong shovel that can withstand the weight of the Colossal Worm, as well as having a high luck stat.
