As Henry (protagonist) and Hans Capon come to Trosky on their horses, the initial story events will take away all of their items including gear, horse, and even clothes. The world of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is huge and divided into two different regions. Exploring these regions on foot will take you several hours. However, the best way to explore the world quickly is by getting the horse back. This guide will help you get your horse back early in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
How to Get Horse (Pebbles) Early in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Henry’s horse, Pebbles will be taken away at the starting hours of the game when the bandits ambush the camp. From there, you have to pursue the main quests until you gain access to the open world. At this point, the Wedding Crashers (main) quest will become available for which you have to choose a route. There are two routes for this quest, Blacksmith and Miller. You need to take the Blacksmith route which will help you get to Semine where you will find a horse trader.
If you look at the horses, you will find Pebbles, Henry’s horse which was taken away in the first quest. Now, to get Pebbles for free, you need to speak with the horse trader and persuade him. As you speak with the trader, select the “Be responsible” dialogue option to have a high chance of passing the skill check. If you succeed in the skill check, the horse trader will give you the pebbles for free.
How to Get Another Horse (Herring) for Free in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
In addition to the Pebbles, there is another horse that players can get for free while pursuing the main storyline. The free horse that you can get is Herring, which is faster and better than Pebbles. To get Herring, you will have to complete the For Whom the Bell Tolls quest, and then Kabat, a Hiring Hand at the stable will give you the horse during the “Back in the Saddle” quest.
Moreover, Kabat will also give you items for the horse which you can equip on the horse. Equipping these items will increase the carrying capacity of the horse, allowing you to transfer items to the horse’s inventory. Doing so, will help you greatly in managing your inventory.
