Spotted the purple and golden twinkling effects in the water? Admittedly, I was confused when I first saw them, as there was no in-game announcement on an event happening. Well, those sparkles are something called Lucky Pools!

What are Lucky Pools?

Lucky Pools are what you’d expect. If you fish in the area of water that has purple and golden sparkles, you receive a luck boost between 45% and 55%. This is a decent buff, especially when using a rod with a low Luck stat and for new players.

It’s a useful way to increase your chances of catching a rarer fish, either for your Bestiary or in-game coins. We’ve all been there where the last fish we need on a Bestiary page is of a Mythical or Exotic rarity. However, as these Lucky Pools appear in random locations, it doesn’t help if they’re in the saltwater when you need to fish in the freshwater, but I digress.

When Do They Spawn?

As they appear at random, it’s unknown as to what the exact spawn rate chance is. I can say from my own experience playing the game that I’ve only recently started to see them occasionally, and I’ve been playing Fisch since launch!

My best advice is to keep an eye out when fishing. There’s no telling when or where the next Lucky Pool will spawn. It isn’t clear how long they remain in the water either. Just keep fishing as much as you can within the pool!
