NIS America has announced The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak 2 demo is coming exclusively to PS5 and PS4. It will have two sections, one focused on its story, with the other on gameplay.

The story section of The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak 2 demo lets players play the prologue of the game up until Chapter 1. NIS America confirmed save data will carry over to the full game. The gameplay section features two floors of the Marchen Garten with two preselected parties. This portion is meant to showcase gameplay, so save data won’t carry over from this section.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak 2 demo for PS5 and PS4 will be available on January 24, just a few weeks before its launch.
“Return to the Calvard Republic and unravel the mystery of the crimson beast in Trails through Daybreak II,” reads the game’s description. “One day, a shocking series of murders set the wheels of fate into motion once again. Chaos looming on the horizon, the spriggan Van Arkride receives an unexpected visitor. Who is behind the murders, and what is their goal?”
The first entry of The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak launched in Japan back in 2021 for PS4. It recently launched to the rest of the world in July 2024 for PS4 and PS5. Our sister site, ComingSoon, gave the game an 8.5 out of 10, stating, “Trails Through Daybreak is the strong start to a new chapter that The Legend of Heroes franchise needed.”
The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak 2 originally launched in Japan for PS4 and PS5 back in 2022. It is the 12th entry in the long-running RPG franchise.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak 2 launches for PS5 and PS4 on February 14.
