The Dig It Rainbow Event offers a chance to collect items with the Rainbow mutation, which have an increased selling value!

Dig It Rainbow Event
The Rainbow event occurs server-wide, which means all players currently on the server can participate in it! There are other types of events, but the Rainbow one specifically has an 11.67% chance of activating. As of right now, there is no way to force an event to occur, so it’s all down to random chance.
It’s actually one of the three rarest events to happen. The Falling Stars and Ioniser Shovel events also have an 11.67% chance of appearing on a server!
What is the Rainbow Event?
During the Rainbow event, you have a 5% chance of digging up an item with the Rainbow mutation. Any items that are ‘Rainbow’, sell for 4x more. If an item has this mutation, it features a cycle of colours – it’s basically an RGB effect!
When the Rainbow event is active, a giant rainbow appears over the expanse of an island. The game also alerts you in the bottom left, so you don’t have to worry about missing it! Most events last around 10 to 15 minutes, so I recommend getting to the selected island as quickly as possible with a boat.
It’s a great way to capitalise on making money in Dig It, as you can collect as many items as you can whilst the event is active, and then sell everything for an increased profit. However, with the drop rate being 5%, you’re not exactly guaranteed an item with the Rainbow mutation each time.
The more money you have, the better the shovel you can purchase, as long as your level is high enough. You can also buy magnet boxes and other items with your in-game money!
