The game doubles up as a sort of life simulator too, allowing you to interact and build friendships.
Dune: Awakening
As a fan of the Dune franchise myself, I can’t wait to get my hands on Dune: Awakening. It’s an upcoming MMO that relies on survival tactics, combat, and navigating the tricky terrain. Live life as one of the Fremen, trade with other locals and build alliances to help you tackle whatever may come your way.
It takes place in an alternate universe, differing completely from the novels and movies. Paul Atreides doesn’t exist, with Lady Jessica giving birth to a daughter instead. Traverse Arrakis as you fend off your foes with a multitude of weapons, and don’t forget about the sandworms…
Monster Hunter Wilds
I’m incredibly excited about Monster Hunter Wilds. The limitless customisation is already a big win for me, but I’m looking forward to diving into the action, with a range of weapons and battle tactics in my arsenal. The enemies look better than ever, and thanks to reworks and upgrades to quality-of-life features, I have a feeling this will be the best entry yet.
Yes, it’s a Monster Hunter title, so you can expect the usual gameplay style. However, Wilds is much more refined and fans of the franchise state that it takes the best parts of both World and Rise turning it into something fresh for all players.
Tales of the Shire: A Lord of the Rings Game
Lord of the Rings is finally getting a cosy simulator! You play as Hobbit living in the beauty of the Shire. Meet other Hobbits, including beloved well-known characters, and go with the flow each day as you explore the outdoors. Cook food, decorate your abode, and go fishing!
It’s the perfect life simulator for Lord of the Rings fans, and those who like games within the genre as a whole. Learn new skills, upgrade your tools, and complete quests to help Bywater become recognised as an official village of the Shire.
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii
The Yakuza/Like a Dragon series never fails to disappoint, and the latest entry seems to be one of the craziest yet. Majima loses his memory and decides to take to the ocean (literally) to live life as a pirate. Instead of wandering the streets of Tokyo, he takes it upon himself to explore the Pacific.
It’s not all about the views and sea shanties though, as Majima comes face to face with other pirates, with a more modernistic spin. As a newfound pirate, Majima plans to create a crew, with his very own ship. With cannons to defend the vessel, and your fists, Pirate Yakuza feels like a fresh take on the beloved series.
