Fisch Santa Quest
The new Santa quest has 2 parts, the first being relatively quick, and the second requiring you to sail across the ocean to each island.
Part 1
The first part of the Santa questline features 2 tasks.
Purchase the Candy Cane Rod in Santa’s WorkshopCatch a total of 20 Fischmas Fish
This only works when you catch the fish that spawn around Winter Village
Catching 20 Fischmas fish is simple, if not a little tedious, especially if you use a fishing rod with a slow Lure Speed. It doesn’t matter which event fish you get, so you can opt for your quickest rod.
Candy Cane Rod Location
When you shake the snowglobe to enter the Winter Village, follow the path until you find Santa’s Workshop. If you’re struggling to spot it, it’s to the left of the Santa NPC where you picked up the quest!
Interact with the front door to open it and walk inside to see a table by the fireplace. The Candy Cane Rod is placed on this table, which you can buy for 1.5K coins.
Part 2
Santa tells you that he’s looking for a lost elf. Your first task in the second part of the Christmas quest is to find this elf! If you’ve already been exploring the Winter Village, you may have followed the candy cane trail before.
How to Find the Lost Elf
However, if you haven’t done this yet, I’ll walk you through it. Close by Santa’s Workshop, you can see glittering candy canes on the ground. If you follow the route of these candy canes, they lead you down to the rocky area of the island.
Eventually, you reach a cave with glowing crystals, which is where the lost elf is hiding! Speak with him to unlock the next part of the quest.
Lost Elf Quests
After speaking with him, he gives you 3 tasks to complete.
Activate the Present Machine inside Santa’s Workshop
You must do this first before you can do the second task! This is because activating this machine grants you a bag of presents, which is required for the next part
Deliver presents to elves on every island (there are 9 in total)
If you click your screen whilst holding the bag of presents, you get a pop-up message that lets you know which islands you need to visit
Catch a total of 45 Fischmas fish
Delivering the Presents
The easiest way to do this is to leave the Winter Village via the magic mirror. This takes you back to Moosewood, where you can find the first elf standing by the Tom Elf NPC.
From there, you can start sailing around to the surrounding islands. The elves are relatively easy to spot, as they tend to stand close by to the edge of the islands. Most of the time, you can hop out of your boat quickly, hold out the bag of presents, and interact with them to hand a gift over.
However, there’s one island in particular that proves trickier than the rest. The Roslit Bay elf hides at the top of the mountain, which you can only get to by completing an obby that leads you from the inside of the Roslit Volcano to the outside. Follow the candy cane trail, and try not to fall!
