Fisch Phantom Megalodon Guide
The Phantom Megalodon is a limited-time creature that can be found lurking in the waters of the Ancient Isle. Due to its rarity, it can be tricky to catch! When hooked on your rod, there will be a -85% progress speed decrease.
How To Catch One
These creatures appear during the Megalodon Event, meaning only one player can catch one. However, unlike other event creatures, you can only catch the Phantom Megalodon during real-life weekends. This makes catching one even harder as if you don’t get one on the weekend, you have to wait all week for it to possibly appear again.
Aside from lurking in the waters of the Ancient Isles, they are more likely to appear during an Eclipse Event. This happens every 7 in-game days, or you can trigger it to happen by purchasing and using an Eclipse Totem.
The Phantom Megalodon doesn’t have many preferences aside from the ones mentioned above. However, using Shark Head as bait will increase your chances. This creature will also show up during any weather or season, and has no time preferences… so at least you don’t have to worry about that!
Which Rod Should You Use?
They tend to weigh around 6,000kg on average, so you’ll need a rod that can hold the weight. As they are so rare to find, I recommend using a rod that gives you an increase in luck.
The Rod of the Depths is a great choice, as it gives 140% luck, can hold 30,000kg, and has 65% lure speed. The Trident Rod is also great, as it can hold 6,000kg and has 150% luck. However, the lure speed is at a lower 20%.
