Fisch Night of the Fireflies

The Night of the Fireflies event increases your chances of obtaining a nocturnal fish during the nighttime – it cannot occur during the day.

Whilst you’re already more likely to catch a nocturnal fish when the sun goes down, you can still catch daytime fish and fish that have no preference for either. However, when Night of the Fireflies is active, you have a 2x chance boost.

You can opt to use the Nocturnal Rod as well, which has a passive ability that allows you to catch nighttime fish even during the day. You can purchase this fishing rod from the Synth NPC in Vertigo, and it costs a total of 11K coins.
