Blizzard is finally making some right calls and implementing the Armory into Diablo 4, one of the most requested features since the launch. It is originally from Diablo 3 that allows the players to swap between their builds freely. Well, it is finally happening, and officially coming in the next Season (Season 7) of Diablo 4.
The Devs Reveals the Armory Feature in a Recent Campfire Chat
During the recent Campfire Chat on November 21, the Devs showcased new systems coming to the Seasonal realm including Witchcraft powers, Headhunt bounties, and more. One of the upcoming features showcased was the Armory which allows players to save up to 5 different Loadouts per character and swap among the Loadouts in the major cities.
What is the Armory Feature in Diablo 4?
The Armory is a returning feature to Diablo 4 from Diablo 3 that allows players to swap among their builds without needing to respec Skills, Paragon Nodes, and Glyphs. Moreover, saving a current build of a character in Armory will let you record the current equipment, skills, Paragon Node, Glyphs, and class mechanics.
The Armory gives you the options to Save, Load, and Name your favorite builds. You can save up to 5 of your favorite builds for a character in the Armory and load any saved build for free. This feature takes away the hassle of changing your builds, especially in the endgame.
Functionality of the Armory Feature in Diablo 4
The Armory is an easy feature to understand and it works in the following way.
Save your first build: As you access the Armory for the first time, select an Empty Slot to save your favorite build.
Change Loadouts with no cost: Equipping a different loadout build for the character with differing Paragon Boards and Glyphs will cost no Gold.
Highlights missing item in Loadout Preview: You can view the contents of a saved Loadout by selecting the slot. If you sell, trade, or dismantle a saved item, an icon will appear in the Loadout Preview highlighting the missing item from the build.
Accessing the Armory: You can find the Armory in all the major cities in Sanctuary and hubs in the endgame. A few of the known places are Citadel, Tree of Whispers, and Training Grounds.
When is the Armory Feature Coming to Diablo 4?
The Armory feature is originally announced for Season 7 of Diablo 4, beginning on January 21, 2025. However, before this feature comes on the main Seasonal Realm, players can test in the PTR 2.1. The next PTR 2.1 will go live on December 3 and ends on December 10. It is only on the PC and players with a Battle.net account can join it freely.
