The PlayStation 30th anniversary lineup of PS5 consoles and accessories released today, and there’s some good news for those who missed out on preordering the PS5 Slim bundle. The themed console will be back in stock today in the U.S. via PS Direct, starting at 9 a.m. PST / 12 p.m. EST.
PlayStation 30th anniversary PS5 Slim will go out of stock almost instantly, so act fast
The restock notice only appears on the PS5 Slim anniversary bundle, so we’re assuming Sony is clearing out inventory left over due to issues like failed payments. There’s currently no such notice on the PS5 Pro bundle, PS Portal, or themed DualSense controllers.
Players have been reporting that PS Direct U.K. also restocked PS5 Slim anniversary bundles at 9 a.m. local time today. Unfortunately — and unsurprisingly — they went out of stock within minutes.
We’re pretty sure the U.S. stock will meet the same fate, so if you really want to purchase one, prepare your wallets and practice clicking fast. We recommend entering the PS Direct queue well in advance. Players line up to purchase limited edition items up to 45 minutes ahead of time, and that still doesn’t guarantee a successful purchase.
Good luck, and let us know if you manage to grab one.
