How to Trade in Fisch – Should You Trade?

How to Trade in Fisch

So, trading is possible in Fisch, but it doesn’t exactly work as you’d think. Yes, you can receive items and fish from other players, but you don’t have to give anything back in return. Trading in games usually results in both players giving each other something, such is the definition of a ‘trade’. But in Fisch, this is a completely one-sided transaction.

This means you should only trade with players you trust, as there’s nothing to stop someone from promising an item in return, only to run away and log off with the item you gave them.

Trading Steps

To trade in Fisch, all you need to do is walk up to a player, and wait until the trading prompt pops up. Depending on your device, the prompt differs, but upon interacting with the player you’ll offer the item or fish that you’re currently holding.The other player can choose to accept the item/fish you’re offering or they can decline inIf they accept it, the item/fish is taken out of your inventory and given to the other player

Why Should You Trade?

There are plenty of reasons as to why trading is useful in Fisch. Firstly, it means friends can share resources such as Enchant Relics or Depths Keys. You can also give each other the fish you need to complete your Angler quests. Many a time I’ve not had the correct fish but a friend has one!

Now, if you receive a fish that isn’t in your Bestiary yet, does it count towards progression? Unfortunately not. While it appears in your Bestiary, alongside its preferences and general information, it doesn’t count as a true catch.

Due to this, there is text within the entry that states the original player that caught the fish. To get the Bestiary page to 100%, you must catch the fish yourself, which then overwrites it as a ‘New Rediscovery’. Bestiary progression only counts once you catch each fish yourself!
